Becoming a Hooking Up from Head to Toe Instructor
The Hooking Up from Head to Toe Instructor Training is designed for licensed Brain Gym® Instructors and Consultants who wish to bring this playful and dynamic course to educators, caregivers, and others working with young children.
During this training, future instructors will explore the content and structure of Hooking Up from Head to Toe (112-HU) in detail. Using the PowerPoint presentation, course manual, and a detailed teaching plan, they will learn how to guide each stage of the course, integrate games and Brain Gym® activities, and select materials appropriate for their group.
Special attention will be given to learning through play, the educational language used with both educators and children, and creating an environment where movement, curiosity, and enjoyment naturally support learning.
Participants will be encouraged to make the course their own, teach at a pace that feels natural, and enrich the activities with their own ideas and experience, while maintaining the intention and integrity of the program.
The training will also provide time to practice, ask questions, exchange ideas, and explore additional resources to support participants in their own teaching applications.
To become a Hooking Up from Head to Toe Instructor
Participants must:
- Be a licensed Brain Gym® Instructor or Consultant.
- Have experience and an affinity for early childhood education, whether at home, in daycare, or in a preschool setting.
- Have completed Hooking Up from Head to Toe (112-HU) at least once; twice is recommended.
- Complete the Hooking Up from Head to Toe Instructor Training.
- Sign the agreement regarding copyright, the use of course materials, and applicable royalty obligations.
At the completion of the training, participants who have met the requirements will receive the agreement between the course authors, Lisa Marcovici and Michèle Hébert, and Brain Gym International, allowing them to teach Hooking Up from Head to Toe (112-HU).
